Other BMW R1100S Pictures and Drawings

One of the original concept drawings for a sports boxer based on the R1100 engine.

This R1100S belongs to my friend Mac, and the beautiful woman on it is his ex-girlfriend. Mac works at Crossroads BMW in Mishawaka, IN. It is one of the best dealerships I've ever been to, and they have a great web site.

A later drawing of the sports boxer. I pretty much resembles the S but has a lower fairing and rear mud gaurd absent in the S.

This is my favorite BMW picture ever. The bike beside the S (for those who don't know) is the legendary R90S in Daytona Orange paint. This was the bike used by BMW when the team won the 1975 Superbike Championship. It's interesting to me because my brother owns a 1975 R90/6 that he has outfitted as an S in the Black and Grey paint scheme. Maybe I'll get a picture of the two of us on the bikes soon.

I just love this picture. Too bad the red doesn't look like that in reality. If you haven't seen one, it's kind of an reddish-orange.

Here are the BMW designers at work on the clay model of the bike. This design studio is the same used for new BMW automobile designs as well. BMW thinks that having all the designers together heightens creative thought; I think it is working!

I found this picture on a German site and therefore don't know much of the details about the bike, for I don't speak German. However, the bike is, obviously, outfitted for racing. There are a few German teams who race the S.

Here is a picture of the Sport Edition R1100S. The 2000 model includes Silver/Mandarin paint, ABS, Bag mounts, an engine spoiler, sport suspension, and a 5.5" rear wheel.

This bike belongs to an owner in California. I believe he is on the Micapeak registry. I love what he has done with it so much I had to put it on here.
